Demonstration video - Detailed product description
With this set, children will learn the numbers from 1 to 10 and estimate their value. The digits are made from RE-Wood® and are large enough for pupils to handle so they will learn to recognise their appearance.
Thanks to the central groove, the number can be traced in various ways. Numbered pointed arrows show pupils which order the various strokes should be made in.
By using the balls included in the scope of delivery, the value of the numbers can also be captured: the value of the numbers is counted out in balls which enables them to be compared. This means the first steps towards doing arithmetic and breaking down numbers in the range up to 10 can be demonstrated and practised.
The balls can be placed in the groove in each number, which means they won't roll away.
The class set includes 8 sets of numbers 1-10 and 60 red balls and a teacher handout. They come in a stackable plastic box with lid that holds 10 sets, allowing the class set to be expanded as needed.
