"Chat-O-Meter" Noise Meter

This noise level gauge helps pupils assess their own noise levels and keep them under control. Different noise tolerances can be defined for different tasks (e.g., silent work, group work, loosening up for lesson changes). This is very easy to do, with a ""+"" and a ""-"" button.

The green LEDs indicate the current noise level. The green LEDs remain lit until the permitted noise level is exceeded. Only when the children become too loud do the red LEDs in the device light up and indicate to them and the teacher that it is too loud.
Alternatively, the display can be reversed: the LEDs are lit continuously and those that show the current noise level go out.

The noise meter is operated by batteries; with the hanging device on the back, it can also be hung on the wall.
