- Detailed product description
fischertechnik set MINT/STEM gear technology for secondary schools
Demonstrate the principles of different types of gears at secondary level for clear, long-term understanding.
Exciting models await exploration by tomorrow's engineers! Fun experiments can be conducted using models such as a beam balance, a scissor lift or a windscreen wiper, allowing the exciting technology behind them to be conveyed.
Needless to say, the kit includes very different types of gears, such as a clock gear, various planetary gears or a differential gear. The overall concept is complemented by the accompanying materials for experiments, which are available online and are freely accessible.
The set can be used to build 17 models and perform 26 experiments. The time required for the task sheets is 45 to 90 minutes. Suitable for group work with 2 to 4 students.
Accompanying teaching material:
The fischertechnik class sets include extensive, freely accessible teaching materials. These have been developed in conjunction with teacher training institutions, teachers and educationalists, and are ideal for teaching requirements. In addition to an introduction to the topic, lesson plans with task sheets and educational plan references are available.
The Topic Introduction provides ideal content for lesson preparation and can be integrated into lessons. The topics covered include definitions, history, basic knowledge and much more besides.
The teaching materials include an overview of the learning objectives, the time required for each task, and the respective curriculum references for individual federal states in Germany.
To go with each topic from the curriculum, various tasks are included, each featuring different experiments.
These tasks are subdivided into a construction task, thematic task and experimentation task. This is how you progress from building, to learning technical content, to applying the knowledge you've gained.
