Kamishibai wooden theatre

The Kamishibai storytelling theatre is also affectionately known as "cinema without electricity".

Laminated picture cards in formats up to A3 are inserted into a box-shaped wooden frame with hinged doors, where they are displayed one after the other.
The sturdy, black wooden frame with side wings automatically draws the eye to the picture cards in the centre section. You can keep an eye on your audience at all times, so it is easy to respond to questions and adapt your pace to their needs.

The Kamishibai storytelling theatre is ideal for promoting language and storytelling skills. Thanks to its playful approach and the use of visual elements with short rhymes and sayings, this is a very relaxed way to boost concentration, memory and language skills.

Whether it's in daycare centres, nursery or primary schools, children of all ages benefit from the power of picture-based storytelling.
While simplified fairy tales playfully support language development in the crèche, kindergarten children can use them to learn to tell stories picture by picture without losing the central theme. In primary schools, this table-top theatre is an excellent tool for interdisciplinary teaching that enables an engaging transfer of knowledge.

The kamishibai set is delivered completely pre-assembled and is ready for use immediately. With a curtain card for a grand entrance plus a quick instruction guide.
Varnished veneer wood in anthracite, coated using a saliva-proof, CE-certified varnish, with childproof hinges and side insert.
