TimeTEX Puzzle Map of the Netherlands "Montessori Premium"

Through sensory activities with the puzzle maps, children begin to expand their knowledge of geography.
This Puzzle Map of the Netherlands consists of all 12 provinces in the Netherlands, enabling children to learn their relevant location and shape.

The individual provinces are each represented by their own insert and have different colours. The provinces only fit into the designated cut-outs on the base plate, so children can immediately see whether they have placed the provinces correctly.
Specially designed wooden pegs on each puzzle piece are attached at the point where the regional capital is located in the relevant province.

The puzzle comes with 2 coloured plastic sheets with a picture of the country. These sheets are the same size as the puzzle map. The outline of the country can be drawn on a sheet of paper then labelled with the names of the provinces and their capitals.

A "Stand for 10 Puzzle Maps" is available separately to store all the puzzle maps neatly.

Learning opportunities:

• introduce and use geographical terms
• get an understanding of the scale of the provinces
• find provinces and capitals within the Netherlands
• develop a sense of distance
