Chromatic Metallophone, 2 octaves c2 - c4, black-white with mallets

This chromatic metallophone has a range of 2 octaves with whole and semitones from c2 to c4.

The steel bars are white and black and are similar to piano keys. As the tone bars are struck with a wooden mallet, using the metallophone is easier for children´s hands than a piano or keyboard, and is a good transitional activity for these instruments.
As the black semitones are placed as in a piano keyboard, the instrument is well suited to teach children the basics of music theory .

The large sound box made of spruce gives the metallophone an especially full, beautiful sound. The 25 sound plates are fine tuned, providing a clear sound . They are manually tuned (a1 = 440hz) and labelled with the corresponding note, making use easier for beginners.
