- Detailed product description
With these picture stories, children learn how adjectives can be used to describe things and activities accurately. Adjectives bring language to life. They make stories vivid and exciting.
Students practise declining adjectives, semantically correct use of important adjectival opposites, for example, sad – happy, thick – thin, fast – slow, light – dark, short – long, and the correct use of adjectives in various forms.
Each of the 18 stories consists of four cards, each of which features an adjective from everyday speech. Each story deals with two pairs of opposites, such as "the old and the new bicycle" or "the full and the empty laundry basket."
These stories allow targeted practice of 70 adjectives and thus 35 pairs of opposites from basic vocabulary.
In the middle of each card is a target sentence containing a specific adjective. Since each story contains two pairs of opposites, it is also possible to compare two cards at a time to work out the adjectives you are looking for.
During the narration and description, other details can be found on each picture card for which the children can also find appropriate adjectives. Exciting!
