- Detailed product description
Material for naming the numbers 1 to 3,000, their ascending order and their spelling.
The set consists of 9 or 3 plastic number cards (1000-3000) per decimal unit (ones green, tens blue, hundreds red, thousands green)
Learning opportunities:
Getting to know the number signs for units, tens, hundreds and thousands.
Methodological and pedagogical tips:
Use a work mat for laying out the whole set of cards.
Presentation of the exercise:
The teacher places the green number card at the top right of the work mat. Underneath, they place all the other green ones up to 9. To the left, they arrange all the tens cards. Sorting further to the left, the teacher places all the hundreds and thousands number cards.
Now the teacher takes the green 1, the blue 10, the red 100 and the green 1000 and places them in front of the child. She points to each one in turn and names them, giving the child time to read the number themselves.
This is followed by the 3-step lesson, as with the Pink Tower and Brown Stair:
1st lesson:
Naming or having named.
2nd lesson:
Have number cards given after naming.
3rd lesson:
Compare number cards with each other. ""Give me a number that is greater than 10 but less than 100.""
