TimeTEX Bells Set "Montessori Premium"

Learning music is similar to learning a language and is an essential part of the Montessori curriculum. Because music has its own sounds and symbols as well as its own precise terminology.
In addition to the opportunity to express themselves musically, primary school children are taught music terminology.

This beautiful bell set is the key material for learning music in any Montessori prepared environment, either at home or at school!
It consists of 13 pairs of handmade bells that cover the chromatic scale beginning with 'C' (Do). In each pair, one bell is either black or white (like on a piano keyboard) and the other is made of natural wood.
A set of 2 natural wood mallets and 1 black wooden damper are included.

One popular option for using this material is for tone comparison. To do this, just the white bells are placed in the correct order to create an octave.
The child now takes any wood-coloured bell and strikes it carefully. Then they try to identify the matching white bell by ear and place it in front of the corresponding wooden bell. They continue in the same way with all the bells until they have created two complete matching rows.

Of course, the bell set can be used very well for free music making too.

Specially designed "Bells Key Boards" for the bells are available separately. These have marked spaces for the black and white bells as well as space in front for the wooden bells.
