TimeTEX Globe Land and Water, sandpaper "Montessori Premium"

First the children get to know this globe, followed by the globe of the continents. This stereognostic globe familiarizes children from the age of three with the concept of the world, its shape and the most important features of the earth.

This Globe of Land and Water is also known as the Sandpaper Globe. The main features of this globe are the blue water and the raised land formations with a sandy texture that define the concepts of land and water. It introduces the toddler to the geographical material.

As an integral part of the Montessori curriculum, the child gets a sense of the shape of the world and can visualize the distribution of land and water on the earth. These land formations are aligned with the continents so that the young child inadvertently absorbs this knowledge.
This work leads to the introduction of the Globe of the Continents.

The wooden base of the globe holds the globe at an angle of 23°, which corresponds to the earth's axis in relation to the sun. The height of the globe is 22.5 cm.
