Insect hotel with observation facility

This insect hotel not only makes a valuable contribution to species preservation but also enables a unique insight into the development of the larvae.

The bee house can easily be erected as a free-standing unit or suspended in a location protected from the weather as a suitable nesting aid for various species of wild bee. It is delivered pre-assembled and is ready for use immediately.
The hotel is made from native FSC®-certified wood.

In summer, the wild bees begin their search for a suitable refuge to have their young. The development cycle of the larvae lasts about 6 months.

The 3 storeys in the hotel are separated with panes of acrylic glass. These can be carefully lifted so that the top row of holes is visible in each case. This means you can observe the larvae without disturbing them.

By getting involved with the insect hotel and its guests, the children will be inspired to engage with the topics of species conservation and environmental protection. They will be made more aware of the importance of treating insects and the natural world in general with care and a focus on sustainability.
