Insect Trap

Collect, observe and learn about insects and other crawling animals!

Lots of different insects and other creepy-crawlies can be found in our environment. They all prefer different environments - some animals love sunny places in fields or forest borders while others prefer shaded locations, e.g. under stones.

The insect net offers children a great way of collecting and observing local insects and other creepy-crawlies up close. Children can collect various creatures found in nature using the practical insect trap. This helps them learn more about the different characteristics and habits of these creatures. They can then place the creatures in a vivarium for longer-term observation or directly release them back into the wild.

The insect trap is deal for people with phobias of insects who do not want to touch them directly. The insect trap is also useful in the home.

Many of our insects are at risk of extinction! They are struggling to find food and a habitat. Give children direct access to nature as part of education for sustainable development (BNE). Through primary experiences involving direct contact with creatures, children learn to take responsibility for their natural surroundings.
