With the help of the magnetic board material, you will work out and discuss questions like these without inhibitions. The materials consist of separate magnetic pictures, so the processes can be worked out gradually by the children in the group and ultimately assembled on the board. Practical work directly using the board materials helps stimulate interest in the teaching content and reinforces the topics being communicated.

The magnetic board material shows parts of the primary sex characteristics of men and women (including penis and vagina) as well as some sperm cells from the male, an egg cell from the female, and different stages of the fertilized egg cell (zygote) and cell division. The fallopian tubes, ovaries and endometrium are also depicted on the board image.

Work with students at the board to figure out the various steps from sexual intercourse and fertilization to the implantation of the fertilized egg (zygote) in the uterus. Challenge students to gradually piece together on the board the steps from maturation of the egg in the ovary to implantation in the lining of the uterus. This can form the basis for discussions about primary and secondary sex characteristics, and how they differ in males and females.

It is also a good idea to supplement the individual steps on the board with arrows that you have drawn yourself and to highlight particularly important aspects by circling and underlining them.
