Follow-Up Order Butterfly Caterpillars, Class Set, total of 30-35

Easily order your caterpillars through our store. Remember to specify in the shopping basket when you want to receive your caterpillars.

Note: we ship the larvae at the start of the week, otherwise they would be in transportation for an unnecessarily long period over the weekend. Consequently, butterfly deliveries are usually received during the course of the week.

In terms of your planning, please remember that once you have received your caterpillars, it takes about 1-2 weeks for them to pupate. About 1-2 weeks later the butterflies will emerge. At 24°C, the entire development process into a butterfly takes about 3 weeks. If it is cooler, this can take up to 5 weeks.

Tip: in the enclosed guide you will find instructions and useful hints for a successful breeding project.

Scope of delivery:

• 30-35 painted lady caterpillars
• 33 individual breeding cups
• 2 cups of food, sufficient to last until they pupate
• 1 butterfly feed
• 1 guide with detailed instructions, worksheets (different versions for school and kindergarten), access to digital exercises, and with references to Education for Sustainable Development (ESD).
