- Detailed product description
Where do snails come from?
Snails have an unjustified bad reputation. They are extremely useful animals. This 4-piece model set lets children of kindergarten and primary school age playfully study how snails grow from a snail egg and how they reproduce. From egg and hatching of the small snail larvae to juvenile snail with a soft, almost transparent shell, to fully-grown adult snail.
The set includes interactive, digital exercises for tablet, PC and whiteboard to encourage children to continue learning in a fun way. They are ideal for consolidating newly acquired knowledge and for independent learning.
The models are an ideal supplement to our snail breeding kit 81241.
Snails have a bad reputation as they enjoy eating young plants. However, snails are not a pest as they typically prefer wilted leaves. However, they are endangered by increased dryness and a shrinking habitat as a result of climate change. Dealing with the living conditions of snails and their habitats will increase awareness of nature's fragility and the risks to plants and insects, motivating children to contribute to environmental protection on a small scale.
