How does a snail eat? What is it hiding in its shell? How can a snail move vertically up a smooth surface? With the Hagemann snail observation set, watching snails is really easy.

It offers the ideal foundation for researching the lifestyle and behaviour of snails you have collected yourself. Thanks to the fact that they move so slowly, these little molluscs make excellent subjects for observing, drawing and describing, so children can study snails at their leisure.

The snails can live for 2-3 months in this practical observation vivarium made from transparent plastic. They get air through the ventilation slits at the top. The lid has a recessed flap through which you can pass food into the container. The snails can also be observed wonderfully well from the side.

The set does not contain any snails. However, it's easy to collect some from outside using the collecting magnifier box included.

The accompanying booklet includes lots of exciting information about our native snails: from looking for snails, to introducing our native snails and their special characteristics, to feeding and food intake, not to mention the amazing anatomy of the snail.
