Set Additional Nesting Boards for Educational Nesting Block, 8 pcs.

The nesting board complement the wild bee breeding kit optimally. When the nesting block is full during the second year, or third at the latest, additional nesting space can be created with the additional boards. You can give even more mason bees nesting space and enjoy having even more mason bees. The additional boards contain two special nesting boards for wild bees who hatch and fly later in the year. This means you can extend your wild bee season and help even more wild bee species!

Each of the boards has pre-fabricated nesting tunnels in which these non-aggressive wild bees can lay their eggs. Six of the nesting boards contain nesting tubes, made primarily for eggs laid by red mason bees, who fly from March to June. Two of the nesting boards have smaller nesting tunnels (Ø 4.8 mm). They help wild bee species who swarm during the second half of the year and prefer to lay their eggs in narrower tunnels. Provide wild bee species with space for their young throughout the entire season.

It is very easy to handle the nesting boards and insert them into an existing nesting block. Simply open the clamp and carefully loosen the strap holding the nesting block layers together. Carefully lift the first layer (hatching chambers), put them to one side and place the additional 8 boards on the nesting block. Then place the hatching chamber back on the nesting block and fasten the assembly using the strap, so that the individual layers do not slip.
