Educational Nesting Box with Observation Drawer, 4 pcs.

The nesting block consists of 6 nesting trays, in which the wild bees can lay their eggs, along with a hatching chamber and an observation compartment. In spring, the cocoons are placed in the hatching chamber, so that the first males to hatch have room to leave the hive before waiting nearby for a female mate. With 70 nesting tubes, the nesting block provides plenty of room for the mason bees and mimics a natural nesting environment, such as cracks in walls. The observation compartment allows you to observe the development (metamorphosis) of the red mason bees, which would otherwise be impossible to watch.

The compartment can be pulled out carefully for observation. However, it should only be opened for a short period of time, and always accompanied by an adult, so as not to disturb the bees. The nesting block is easy to assemble: the nesting trays are stacked on top of one another, and the hatching chamber and observation compartment are placed in their corresponding slots. The strap is then wrapped around the block and securely fastened. The nesting block is easy to open, e.g. to place cocoons inside the hatching chamber. To do this, the strap simply needs to be loosened then securely refastened afterwards.
