Bee Weather House for Educational Purposes

Optimal protection against varying weather conditions and predators!

Predators such as birds, or varying weather conditions such as sun, wind or snow pose a threat to wild bees and their cocoons, disturbing their metamorphosis. The weather house complements the Hagemann wild bee breeding set, the Hagemann educational nesting block and the compact nesting block.

Thanks to the weather house, the nesting block retains its high quality during several bee breeding seasons. The bees will thank you for it! The weather house interior has sufficient space for the nesting block and up to 8 additional nesting boards. Using the house is extremely easy: just lift the lid and put the nesting block in the weather house. The weather house should be positioned in a south-easterly direction and placed on a wall or other raised object. A stand is recommended for the nesting block so it does not remain on the ground. This provides even more protection for the bees and their cocoons. The open viewing side is made of wide mesh wire. The children and yourself can oberve the nesting block continually. Bees or cocoons are protected against animals who eat the cocoons, such as birds, so the bees/cocoons are not disturbed during their metamorphosis from larvae to bees. The roof is easily removable so that the nesting block can be easily taken out.

The weather house is Made in Germany, in high quality finishing. It is robust, yet attractive when placed in the school yard or in a garden.
