TimeTEX Subtraction Snake Game "Montessori Premium"

The Subtraction Snake Game is used to illustrate to children how to subtract numbers, including beyond the number range to 10.

Children are given a task chain consisting of various addition and subtraction tasks. The coloured bead bars are prepared according to the additions in the task and lined up in a 'snake'. The grey bead bars represent the subtrahend (the number to be subtracted).

Now the children reproduce the individual calculation steps: for addition tasks, they complete the coloured bead bars on golden ten bars, using the black and white bead sticks as aids for the conversion. The grey bead sticks are subtracted again, the black and white sticks also help here.
The children can count off the individual subtraction steps using the plastic tabs: the tabs are so to speak "ridden back" along the bead bars.

At the end, children get the result by counting the beads or bead bars that are left.

The material comes with 4 coloured wooden boxes in a wooden tray for sorting and storing the bead bars: gold for the ten bars, green for the coloured bead bars, black and white for the black and white bead bars, and grey for the subtrahend bead bars.
