- Detailed product description
Climate change concerns all of us: summer temperatures in February, storms, flooding, dry forests, and melting glaciers. Children can use this project case to discover what they can do to protect the climate and the natural world and find out why the world needs our help.
Sustainability is simple and can be fun. Help make the world a bit better.
CO2, climate change, greenhouse gases and the greenhouse effect – what do all these things mean and what significance do they have for children in their everyday lives? The climate change project case is a comprehensive package to help children find the answers to these and lots of other fascinating questions!
The case offers lots of ideas and extensive materials relating to the topic of climate change. So, children can explore the issue of climate change independently through experimentation (materials included). With this project case, they gather their own experiences and use these to reflect on interrelationships in the natural world and their surroundings. The project case is a fun way to guide scientific curiosity towards areas that are relevant to the curriculum. With the help of the magnetic pictures, children can work out the main causes of climate change and find solutions for things they can do themselves to combat global warming. They can use the magnetic pictures to collect behaviours that are harmful for the climate and find climate-friendly alternatives. The magnetic pictures can be used as an introduction at the start of this topic and are also useful at the end of the unit. The ultimate aim should be for everyone to reflect that each individual person can do something to combat climate change.
A fun way to reinforce knowledge is with the digital interactive exercises or the memory game picture cards. The three activities or educational games included combine fun collaborative play with background knowledge on the topic of climate change. These are excellent for playing with the whole teaching group and will even help nursery school children understand the scientific subject matter. This should be a fun way to stimulate interest in science and promote independent, responsible conduct.
The project case will also help you with Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) by providing a fun introduction for children to topics such as sustainability, environment and climate protection!
