Climate Change, magnetic, 34 pcs.

Summer temperatures in February, storms, flooding, dry forests, and melting glaciers. Children can use these informative, large magnetic pictures to discover what they can do to protect the climate and the natural world and find out why the world needs our help. CO₂, global warming, greenhouse gases, and the greenhouse effect – you will encounter these and many other buzzwords when you explore the topic of climate change. But what does climate change mean? What are greenhouse gases? What does it mean for us and for children's everyday reality? Find the answers to these and many other questions about climate change with these magnetic board materials.

The magnetic picture shows a globe with surrounding atmosphere, radiation and the five most important producers of CO₂. It can be used to discuss the five main source categories, and the children can use the magnetic images to associate first negative and then positive behaviours with each category. In this way, the children find out what they can do to combat climate change and how they can help protect our planet themselves. Positive examples can be attached around the globe, or the CO₂ producers can be pinned in five rows on the board. The ultimate aim should be for everyone to reflect that each individual person can do something to combat climate change.

The teaching materials include suggestions for taking action together with the children: e.g. you can use the magnetic pictures and worksheets to collect other ideas on how the children can reduce CO₂ emissions themselves!

The topic of climate change is excellent for Education for Sustainable Development (ESD). The magnetic pictures help you give children a fun introduction to topics such as sustainability, environment and climate protection!
