Bumblebee House made of wood, hinged

It is becoming increasingly difficult for bumblebees to find natural habitats and a place to nest. Offer bumblebees the ideal home and nesting location.
The bumblebee house is divided into two chambers inside: the left-hand chamber serves as a vestibule to defend the queen, who nests and spends her life in the right-hand chamber.
The roof of the bumblebee house can be carefully hinged open to observe the animals. The house has additional ventilation options. e.g. two holes on the side wall.

Ideal nesting materials include dried moss, hay or kapok. Position the nesting box in a protected location with plenty of morning sunshine to encourage the bees to move in. This helps the house warm up more quickly in the morning. However, the bumblebee house should never be positioned in direct sunlight and it should be protected against driving rain.
Bumblebee queens look for places to nest on the ground, in other words in holes and cracks. For this reason, the bumblebee house should be set up close to the ground, ideally on bricks or you can bury it up to the lower edge of the entrance hole.
The bumblebee house is an ideal nesting and overwintering location for precious wild bees, also offering vital support for these industrious, beneficial insects, which means it is good for the environment too!
