Growing Kit "Renewable Raw Materials", 13 pcs.

Using the renewable raw materials growing kit children can discover how raw materials grow. In doing so, they will learn about various renewable raw materials

and discover the fascinating ways in which they can be used.

Many of our raw materials used to provide energy or create plastic are limited and will run out one day, such as crude oil and coal. Burning them also produces environmentally harmful CO₂. This is why it is important to find climate-friendly, renewable raw materials. Renewable raw materials include plants that can be used to produce energy and/or create materials such as plastic. Biodiesel can be obtained from rapeseed, packaging and building materials from fibre plants such as flax and dyes from medicinal plants such as camomile.

Children can plant renewable raw materials themselves using the seed packets, observe their growth and carry out experiments on their use.

The kit includes six pouches with rapeseed (2 g), wild mallow (1 g), yellow chamomile (0.2 g), sweetcorn (12 g), linseed (10 g) and cup plant (0.4 g). The contents are sufficient for approx. 2 m².
