- Detailed product description
Experience nature up close! This set for observing roots and earthworms combines two fantastic observational experiences in one.
Vegetable seeds can be sown in the transparent vivarium. Then you have a wonderful opportunity to watch as the delicate roots of the vegetable gradually develop.
Children will be amazed when they see how different the various kinds of vegetables are as they grow. How are peanuts actually produced? And which vegetable can be harvested first – carrots or radishes? This set helps children find the answers to these questions!
In the second vivarium, earth, sand and dried leaves are layered up. If you now add earthworms to the vivarium, they will continue to develop beautifully. Thanks to the transparent panels, children can see how the earthworms tunnel their way through the soil and break down the leaves. They eat the plant
waste and digest it. In this way, the worms enrich the soil with nutrients while aerating it at the same time thanks to their movements. The set can be used in nursery or in school, e.g. in biology lessons. A really fun way to explore this topic for young and old!
