TimeTEX Binomial Cube "Montessori Premium"

The Binomial Cube is a concrete representation of the algebraic formula (a + b)³. The 8 color-coded blocks made of solid wood are different sizes and represent the algebraic binomial formula.

The purpose for the preschool child is not to learn math. Rather, the child is challenged to find patterns and spatial relationships. It is best to imagine these as three-dimensional puzzles. Indirectly, this prepares the child for mathematics.

When the child reaches the age of 6 to 9, the indirect goal becomes the direct goal and the exciting journey into algebra begins. Depending on the stage of development, the child can also name each individual cube with numbers or letters. Calculations such as 4² x 3 or 4 x 4 x 3 are also possible with the Binomial Cube.
