TimeTEX Trinomial Cube "Montessori Premium"

The Trinomial Cube represents the algebraic formula (a + b + c)³. The factors of the equation are represented by cubes and prisms. The color-coded wooden blocks are different sizes and represent the algebraic trinomial formula.

The purpose for the preschooler is not to learn math. Rather, the child is challenged to find patterns and spatial relationships. It is best to think of these as three-dimensional puzzles. Indirectly, this prepares the child for math.

When the child starts school, the indirect goal becomes the direct goal and the exciting journey into algebra begins. Depending on the stage of development, the child can also name each individual cube with numbers or letters. Calculations such as (a+b+c)2 = a2 + 2ab + b2 + 2ac + c2 + 2bc are also possible with the trinomial cube.
