Nature stethoscope, 17.5 cm

This sturdy wooden nature stethoscope offers children fascinating insights into the natural world that would normally be concealed.

The handy stethoscope allows you to hear sounds in trees, underground or in human and animal bodies. Children will be fascinated by beetles scrabbling under tree bark, and munching woodworm. Other interesting things to listen to that will inspire experimentation include the beating of the heart, the rushing of blood and gurgling in the stomach. What does a heartbeat sound like in children, adults or other animals? Does the gurgling in your tummy sound different with a full or empty stomach?

This useful tool helps train the senses but also contributes to a better understanding of the ecosystem and enhances awareness of the body and the environment.

The so-called Pinard horn is originally a medical device and is still used today by midwives to listen to a baby's heartbeat inside the womb.
