TimeTEX Spindle Boxes 0-9, German "Montessori Premium"

The Spindle Boxes are an activity to help the child understand the concept of representing numbers with objects and to introduce the concept of zero.

The Spindle Boxes are a parallel exercise to connect the numerals with the correct quantities. Here the numerlas are in a fixed order and the quantities are loose.

The first compartment of the box is labeled 0 and the child gets to know this symbol for the first time. Normally they want to put a spindle in this box, but they have to learn that zero means nothing or nothing at all.

The set consists of 2 boxes with 5 compartments each, labeled with the numbers zero to four and five to nine. The 45 spindles are stored in a wooden box (to be ordered separately) so that the child can place the spindles in the corresponding compartment.

The beech wood spindles are shaped so that they can be carefully stacked in the compartments.
