- Detailed product description
This material can be introduced when the child is familiar with the Cylinder Blocks and the color tablets, starting with the yellow cylinders and progressing to the red, blue and finally green ones.
Like the other sensorial materials, the Knobless Cylinders stimulate many skills: Gross and fine motor skills, eye-hand coordination, visual perception by training vision in relation to dimension.
They also develop the ability to form rows and provide the child with important keys to understanding the environment on different levels, including the logical-mathematical level.
The direct function offers the child the opportunity to sharpen their ability to distinguish size, height and volume. Together with the Knobless Cylinders, the child uses their own visual discrimination skills as control of error.
The set consists of 4 high-quality beech wood boxes with lids. Each box contains 10 cylinders in the color of the respective lid.

Methodological and pedagogical tips:

Presentation:
- ask the child to go to the cupboard. Ask him/her to take the yellow wooden box while you carry the red box.
- place the wooden boxes on the table. Start by opening the red box. Remove the lid and place the box on the table. Take out the first cylinders and let the child take out the next ones.
- place the cylinders together on the right-hand side of the table. Place the box in the top right-hand corner.
- start placing the cylinders from thick to thin. Make the first ones and let the child complete the row.
- open the yellow box. Remove the lid and place the box on the lid. Take out the cylinders and place them alternately on the right side of the table.
- start building a pattern and let the child complete it.
- after the pattern is completed, look at the relationships between the cylinders from all sides.
- start another pattern, starting from the current order. Then repeat the task.
- start with a third pattern before passing the task on to the child. Observe from a distance.
